POWER UP SERIES Session 2 - Moving from Theory to Action: Racial Equity in Your Work

Portland Means Progress and TechTown present the POWER UP Series. This is the second in the series.

Join Portland Means Progress and TechTown Portland as we embark on the POWER UP SERIES, designed for staff at all levels and at all organizations: from part-time staff to leadership! Attendees have to be actively interested and committed to racial equity.

This second session in the POWER UP SERIES will be about how to add on from your understanding of critical race theory to now applying racial equity strategies within employee workplans. Every team can find ways to change policies and practices to be more equitable for people of color, and often there are many folks who want to do the work but aren’t sure how. This will be a very broad overview, but will get ideas flowing on how to get commitments for action while still ensuring that training and education are a part of your equation for success.
