Accountability in Racial Equity: Measuring Intentional Purchasing Toolkit Launch

Portland Means Progress presents the Intentional Purchasing Toolkit with Jesse Hyatt back to lead the discussion.

About this Event

When shifting purchasing decisions at your business to be more intentional, have you struggled with tracking? How do you gather the necessary data to understand your business’s procurement practices & spending? As a follow up to our January 2021 session on Measuring Intentional Purchasing, we are launching the Measuring Intentional Purchasing Toolkit to support you in tracking your company's spend data. In this session with Jesse Hyatt, President & Founder of Hyatt & Associates and Executive Director of the Black American Chamber of Commerce, we will explore:

  • Vendor Questionnaire templates to send to your vendors in gathering data around self-identification

  • A spreadsheet you can utilize for calculating your annual spend if your accounting system does not have this capability

  • Gathering spend data required for annual Portland Means Progress reporting as well as spend information disaggregated by race/ethnicity

You can expect to leave this session with editable toolkit content as well as a "How To" video for utilizing the tools in the future. We will share these tools in advance of the session so you can practice in advance and come with your questions.

We ask that attendees who were unable to attend the Measuring Intentional Purchasing session in January 2021 view the recording of that session prior to attending this session. We will email this recording to all registered attendees for this session.
