Accountability in Racial Equity: Measuring Meaningful Work Experience

Accountability in Racial Equity: A series to support businesses in how to measure action to advance racial equity.

About this Event

As businesses host work experiences for young professionals of color, how do we measure if a work experience was meaningful? With Amani Austin, Assistant Director of the Emerging Leaders Internship program, we will explore how to get beyond the number of internships as our measurement of success to better understand the experience of interns at our companies. Through this session, participants can expect to gain an understanding of:

How to apply a strengths-based approach to measuring meaningful work experience

Guidance on types of questions to ask in survey work with interns

How to act on information you receive

Hear case testimonials and scenarios of work experience situations

See dashboards of example businesses measuring & reporting on work experience actions

Become familiar with annual reporting for Portland Means Progress businesses

This training will be facilitated by Amani Austin, Emerging Leaders.

This session is one of a 4-part series hosted by Portland Means Progress that is free and open to the public.
